Fleur de Marbre

The second fragrance in a snow-white bottle, «Marble Flower», is a dedication to Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna, beloved daughter of Emperor Nicholas I and the first full-fledged mistress of the Mariinsky Palace. Contemporaries noted both her «marble beauty» — Maria Nikolaevna was the owner of smooth, delicate skin and expressive blue eyes, and a tough, imperious character. Flowers adorned her chambers throughout the year: cornflowers and forget-me-nots were replaced by lilies of the valley, jasmine and orange blossom, and in the warm season the garden smelled of her favorite roses.
In a scent dedicated to the princess, white flowers are soloed, but it would be too easy to maintain an impeccable whiteness. Therefore, they are accompanied by bergamot and green apple — in the top notes, musk, amber and the scent of light suede, which provide contrast and warmth, and, finally, nostalgic notes of heliotrope and patchouli, giving the «Marble Blossom» a light vintage.
